We have traveled to Munich many, many times, and stayed at many different hotels, and our favorite for the past 4-5 years is the Hotel Brunnenhof on Schillerstrasse. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and the staff is very accomodating.
The thing we like most is the location--just a short walk from the main train station, and close to the Marianplatz and restaurants.
Parking is available on the property, but limited. All in all, a good value for your dollar.

We stayed at the Brunnenhof for three nights from Sat 26 to Tue 29 Nov 2011 and were made very welcome from the minute we stepped through the door. The staff at Reception and in the Breakfast Room were friendly and helpful and, although we did not meet any of the staff cleaning the bedrooms, our room and bathroom were always clean ready for us whenever we returned.
Our bedroom was well-furnished and lit, with comfortable beds and a well appointed bathroom.
The breakfast buffet was ample and varied.
In short we could not have wished for anywhere better to stay as part of a wonderful few days in Munich.

Hi!
I had the pleasure of being one of your guests.
The room was good, the breakfast was good, the service was good and the treatment we received was excellent.
Nice employees, a always available hint about the city and the places we could visit.
Hope we see each other again in 2013!
Thanks,

I stayed here during Oktoberfest in October 2010. The location was great for getting to the Oktoberfest grounds (just a five minute walk in a great area).
The hotel was clean, the staff was nice, and the rates were reasonable. Additionally, if you are looking for a room with many beds, this hotel was very accommodating, as we got a room with 5 separate beds (very hard to find in Europe).
The breakfast was great, as well. We were going to Oktoberfest early in the morning (before breakfast was being served) but the staff let us grab some fresh baked breads before we ran out the door.
This hotel was is perfect for anyone looking to go to Oktoberfest, yet still have a quiet place to sleep at night.
I have recommended the place to all of my friends and will continue to do so!

Hi, we stayed for 4 days in April 2011. I hadnt been to Munich before and i looked at an enormous amount of hotels on line before choosing this one. I think the price and star rating are correct. We stayed with 3 very young children (1, 3, 5) and although they suffered a substantial loss of lollies from the front desk, the staff went above and beyond to help us in any queries we had. The room we had was large, very spacious and clean. The breakfast was suitable and in line with other hotels of same rating. The free internet access in room was great for us. The hotel was very quiet and we had no street noise from our room (at rear), but in saying this, it is also very close to the main station (3 small blocks - easy walk). It is in the central area of munich, there are alot of strip clubs around this area, but we didnt bother them, they didnt bother us!! It is very close to their main open air mall. We used the hop on hop off bus tours to see the area, located at the railway station. We totally enjoyed our time here and i think the hotel was wonderful. Thanks to all!!!

Dear hotel staff,

regards from Cincinatti
comment Hotel Brunnenhof:
we are very sorry you felt our rooms beeing not clean as we usually are very proud of the cleanness of our hotel. During Oktoberfest period room rates are in fact very high in Munich but we still have quite reasonable rates compared to other hotels. For your information, we will refurnish all rooms in February 2011 and hope to welcome you again in a new and clean design.

parking was very narrow and small and my husband who drove a compact wagon had hard times parking in there. You need to drop your car key at the front desk so that they can move the car whenever they need to. There're a lot of one-way streets in the neighbor, so you may want to check a map in advance if you drive to get there.

Excellent. Four of us ( 2 couples) stayed here 18-22 september 2009. 500 metres from the city centre, 500 metres from the Wies'n (Oktoberfest) and 300 metres from the main train station. Perfect location. Comfortable rooms and a hearty breakfast. Friendly staff. We'd come back with no hesitation and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was our first time visiting Munich and I am glad we chose to stay at the Brunnenhof. It was in an excellent location, nice and quiet but only a few minutes walk from the centre. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the rooms tidy, breakfast was excellent and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. I would thoroughly recommend staying at the Brunnenhof and would definitely return.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights from May 2, 2006. We got a double bed room. The room was very simple without any fancy decoration but the room was large and there was an extrabed. The bathroom was small but there was a tub. You can borrow hairdryer if you need to. Breakfast was about average. The parking was very narrow and small and my husband who drove a compact wagon had hard times parking in there. You need to drop your car key at the front desk so that they can move the car whenever they need to. There're a lot of one-way streets in the neighbor, so you may want to check a map in advance if you drive to get there.
The hotel is located near the main train station (too far to walk with your luggages, though) and the area is middle-eastern neighbor with lots of Arabic signs, which I was concerned a little bit to walk in the evening. Nextdoor was a Turkish restaurant and the dish I had was delicious! The hotel doesn't have laundry service but there's a laundromat two street down (the hotel had the ad) and it was convenient. You can drop off your laundry in the morning and pick them up later in the evening or of course you can wash your own stuff.

"Loved the Hotel Brunnenhof in Munich"
My daughters and I just got back from this wonderful hotel in Munich and must highly recommend it for location, service and price.
It is about 10 minutes from the main square (Marienplatz) and 5 minutes from the Central Station (Haupbanhof). Both are walking times.
The staff could not have been more accomodating, breakfast service was great, as was the food.
The price was fantastic. No games, you get a straight price, depending on the number of beds.
The rooms were spotless.
We loved it. I'd go back in a minute.
